CV Review
In a world with an increasingly competitive job market, it has never been more important to produce a CV that makes you stand out from the crowd.
Writing a CV, however, can be a daunting task. Whether writing one from scratch or amending an existing one, it must be tailored specifically to the role you are applying for and written and presented in a way that grabs an employer’s attention. A CV that is short, to-the-point and devoid of clichés is, therefore, much more valuable than one that is too long and laden with content that adds no value to its intended purpose.
Your CV should include:
- your personal details (name, address, telephone number and email address),
- a personal statement highlighting your suitability for the role (with examples, and of no more than one paragraph),
- a list of relevant skills (which you should prepare to back up with examples at interview),
- any achievements relevant to the role being applied for,
- details of all relevant work experience (job title, names of organisation, length of time in the post, as well as a summary of key responsibilities, and should be listed with the most recent first), and
- details of educational background (types of qualification, grades awarded, and the dates achieved).
As a guideline, a CV should be no longer than two pages (A4 size). It is not necessary to include a section for hobbies and interests, unless any are relevant to the role being applied for. You do not need to provide references at this stage, unless otherwise advised.
Our CV Review service will help you to produce a concise résumé that packs a punch. Your CV will undergo a full copy editing review, ridding your work of any unwanted spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors, as well as dealing with any inconsistencies in style. Our review will highlight any classic clichés that employers see time and time again (like “highly-motivated” or “team player”) and suggest the removal of any content that adds no value to the impact you are trying to make.
CV Review rates:
£0.03p or £0.04p per word for the first 1,000 words submitted,
£0.01p to £0.02p per word thereafter.
